The leaves crunch under your feet,
and reminds you why you do this in the first place.

The smell of the cold earth in varying levels of life, death;
the best morning light beaming through dewdrops;
the fog. The fog!

You are so incredibly happy right now.
Your camera is gripped tightly in your right hand
as you hike through this dense forest.
The beams of sun spike the fog in between the trees.
You notice the swirls of natural movement,
highlighted by the dawn. Would the camera
catch that?

You kneel, regain a new center of balance,
and press the button twice. Then again.
a camera tilt.

Zoom in,
water droplets,
cobwebs and
the sunbeams.

You stand up with a tear in your eye.
